Project Description
|
William Jacob Management was retained to assist BP/Worley Parsons with the overall review, revamp and start-up of the Liberty Rig located on the Endicott satellite drilling island, 15 miles east of Prudhoe Bay, near Alaska’s Arctic coast. Our 25 person team spearheaded efforts to review the design and construction of the Liberty rig which was provided by Parker Drilling. William Jacob Management followed up the initial review phase with detailed Design and cost development that BP utilized to assess the viability of the project. Based on the Design and cost analysis work by our experts it was determined that the rig did not meet BP’s requirements. Furthermore, BP determined that the completion of the rig was not a viable option due to the costs associated with making the needed corrections. |
